    Cannot download from the internet

I am using IE10 and every time I try to download a program it keeps saying that the program contained a virus and was deleted.
I have tried using Chrome but I get the message "Failed - Virus scan failed" and the file also gets deleted. I can't even save a picture or anything on Chrome, but IE lets me.
I have had this problem after my computer got infected with an svchost.exe virus yesterday. I have run various scans and the virus seems to be gone but the download problem persists.
Anyone know how I can fix this?
    Thanks

What are you trying to download?
Is it happening with all downloads?

Run a full scan using MalwareBytes as well as your anti virus software to detect and remove any infectious files.

Yesterday I was trying to download Malwarebytes, and today AVG, and I got the message, on both browsers.
With pictures I only get the message on Chrome. I haven't tried to download anything else.

I have already run Malwarebytes, Avast and Kaspersky TDSS Killer and removed anything suspicious.
I'm now running a full Malwarebytes scan again.

Yeah Malwarebytes should be able to find some infection.
If you have a spare PC, download an anti virus on another PC and using a USB drive, transfer the .exe file on to your computer for a full scan.

I have done that with Malwarebytes

I might try AVG too, but I'll wait for the scan to finish first

Remember when choosing to download and install another anti virus make sure you uninstall all other anti viruses first.

It's best to not use the machine while using the full scans,
Please remember to Manually update the scanner because the free versions do not self update.
You might even try using safe mode with networking once then start normally and repeat the malwarebytes scan.

Download both of the programs below and save it to your flash drive . Run the two programs on the PC one at a time you're having an issue with .

    Farbar Recovery Scan Tool

    32-bit Version OS http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/farbar/FRST.exe
Right click on FRST.exe and choose
When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
    Press Scan button.
FRST will let you know when the scan is complete and has written the FRST.txt to file
Please copy and paste both logs in your reply.(FRST.txt and Addition.txt)

    Farbar Service Scanner
Click here Downloading Farbar Service Scanner to DOWNLOAD

Right click on FSS.exe and choose
Place a check next to the following options
    Internet Services
    Windows Firewall
    System Restore
    Security Center
    Windows Update
    Windows Defender
    Press: Scan

       Note
All three text files FRST.txt , Additional.txt , and FSS.txt will be located inside your flash drive
