Ok now it looks as if the IE is opened up - did it do that by itself or did you click on the main entry triangle of IE? see my pic again here. If it does this again try deleting that Active X Compatibility entry first using the same process.
It Doesnt let me delete it, it says the same problem

Absolutely your main anti virus suite any on call scanners etc like Malwarebytes, SuperAntiSpyware etc etc

Am curious because a lot of them have some unfortunate habits of messing with the OS and other apps. Also because a lot of people run more than two thinking it is better and nothing could be further from the truth it actually poses more problems than they are intended to prevent.

I am not the only one either who is not fond of having programs that do reg cleaning tidying up the machine driver searching etc as they are frankly not worth a light,

Just out of curiosity, why would you want to uninstall IE9, IE8 is so old Windows is no longer supporting it for Windows 7, they are only supporting it for Windows XP

All that should be needed is to run Windows update and IE10 will be offered, no need ti uninstall IE9. If you try to uninstall IE9 you will wreck the system.
