Try clearing the browser temp files: Internet Explorer 9 - Delete Browsing HistoryThis is for IE9, but there is no difference for IE10.

If you have just started using IE10 and don't have a lot of stuff saved, I would leave the top one unchecked and check off all the rest, the choice is up to you.

Thanks but no change. Below are the Apple, Inc add-on request & Internet Explorer has stopped working. Is there a security setting blocking the install?

I uninstalled IE10, restarted & now have IE8. Everything works OK with one exception; iClouds Calendar shows Tuesday the 9th! When selecting it opens Calendar correctly to July 15th. So, I installed IE9-64bit & had the same issues as with IE10-64bit. All add-on from Apple, Inc install correctly.

For whatever reason my PC doesn't seem to like IE9 or 10 64bit.

When ever you roll back to a previous version there will be Windows updates which need to be installed,
Unfortunately you didn't inform us of what kb# was listed in ie10 which there were many security updates issued last Tuesday/ Wednesday.
Open ie,
Use Alt+HA and post what kb# is listed.

I've never used IE much so I don't know when these issues may have begun. For the past few hours I tried Chrome & decided to uninstall it. I also did an Windows Update & had problems installing a few updates. I did a search & found a solution to the error code 8024402C & have now successfully updated everything. One of the updates was IE10-64bit download so it's re-installed now but I still have similar issues.

Running IE10-64bit needs Enhanced Protected Mode, right? Would selecting "Disable" make IE10 32bit for everything or just this website?

Took me awhile to understand kb# but I did. Here's 2 months worth. There's more but on the Microsoft NET Framework 4 side. The recent re-install of IE10 still has issues. I'm not computer savvy enough to understand your abbreviations but will try.

Enhanced protection mode is a trouble shooting step which in normal circumstances would be like running the 64 bit version of ie9 instead of the 32 bit version which is what all apps would use anyway.
So in a normal environment e.p.m would not be activated I suggested it as way to see if ie10 would operate normally without crashing/ would open and you can do normal everyday surfing,
As far as I know only apple services would be exempt/ or allowed,
After uninstalling another browser you should reset internet explorer,

But, it's my understanding that to run IE10-64bit, Enable Enhanced Protection Mode must be selected in Internet Options/Advanced/Security/. By selecting Disable it would seem to turn off 64bit IE but would that be just for that site only? Maybe I don't understand Enable Enhanced Protection Mode.

If you tap the F12 key in IE it will display an area when you can try different changes.
You might want to play with the settings for "Browser Mode" and "Document Mode" to see if you can find something that works for you.
I don't use IE as my primary, but I've had no issues with it, and if nothing else F12 is a fun tool to play with
