Cannot access a website from my computer that I could before

I suddenly cannot access a website that I was able to access before. I have tried Firefox, IE10 and Chrome.

    I get the same error:
    The connection has timed out
The server at 97.79.236.216 is taking too long to respond
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
    moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
    connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

I have tried Ping and Tracert. The results are attached
Cannot access a website from my computer that I could before-ping_tracert-screen-shot.jpg

I know that the web server for this web site is up. I accessed it from another computer in another location.

Are you trying from the same location/computer that you formerly accessed the site with?
It is indeed up, I just ran a ping and tracert on the IP address.

It's just you. http://97.79.236.216 is up.
    Check another site?

When I tried to go there with http://97.79.236.216 it was blocked for me by hosts file and was blocked as Shopping Cart & Ecommerce Software - 1ShoppingCart.com seems there was some complaints about the way they track people

Yes. I am going to move to another location using a different ISP and see what happens.

As a matter of fact I cannot access this site from any computer on my home network. All are laptops with either Vista or Win 7. I cannot even access the site using my Kindle Fire HD.

Did the site get added to your Hosts file by chance? Maybe blocked in your router somehow too.

I do not know. I looked at the host file and did not see anything. It was a sample file according to the text.

I am using the computer now at another location on a different ISP and I can access the web site OK.

Before moving to a new locale, I bypassed my router and plugged directly into my comcast modem. Same problem, could not access the web site.

Perhaps my ISP (Comcast) is the problem?

I have even tried disabling my firewall and virus program, still have the same problem.

    Any suggestions?

The hosts file is clean if only the samples are there. It is a very odd issue and the problem seems to be in your harware at home or Comcast. Can you try someone else who has Comcast to see if its blocked there too?

I would be on the phone to Comcast, if they aren't blocking it they may have some other ideas, I've found most of their tech helpful.

I have checked with others who have comcast and they can see the the site OK.

I think that the company that hosts the site has locked me out for some reason. I cannot get into their control panel to make any changes to the site and cannot upload any files via ftp.

I have just recently took this site over from a previous web manager, so I don't have access to the account that was set up. Once I get that info, I will probably be able to fix this problem.

I have spoken with Comcast. They are not blocking but are pretty sure that the web host is. Of course they cannot explain why. Neither can I.

I do not think leaving this post open will accomplish anything. I thank you for your help.
