Oddly,
If I just open threads and sections without opening in a new tab the doc. mode does stick to standards,
I suppose I have to reconsider the way I click Other smiles are not available with standards

If you notice in developer tools Validate/ HTML this forum passed with fling colors,
If you were to use validate/ HTML on say,
Internet Explorer - Microsoft Community
You would get a report of probably 32 errors,
On TechNet you wouldn't get any report at all

You dont know the hours I've spent getting the site to validate fully lol.

FYI - The site is set in IE7 compatibility mode due to the variation of IE browsers that visit and due to all the changes IE has had over the last few years that is the only way we can get things to render the same.

The most functional browser for this site is Firefox.

Oh, now I get it.

Odd thing is I was having the trouble on another build I'm working on. On my current machine IE10 is on Document Mode:IE7 Standards and works fine.

In a nutshell,
Microsoft and w3.org share a difference in opinion of HTML5.
But all of this is like watching a airliner fling/ way above my head of comprehension

Frequent power-downs
I have only once experienced hardware issues before, which was solved by simply replacing my HDD. However now, my computer frequently powers down (after 20-60 mins of usage). This has only ever happened in the past 2 days. The first time, the fan was highly active (though the computer had not been...
