    firefox 23.01


    been searching for comments & other thoughts about the latest update that firefox came out with the other day. what are the thoughts In this forum ???

    I like it. It seems to be more stable this round. Add-ons seems to work much better with it. I have a few that wouldn't work in Firefox even after re-installing them.

    I do not like the fact that I can no longer type a word in the Address Bar and go to a website because they changed it to a Search Engine term.
    For example, I would be able to type "sportsillustrated" and FF would go automatically to sportsillustrated.cnn.com. Now it goes to a Wikipedia entry. Not good.
    I also had to get a new add-on to fix the glitch (they call it a "feature") that at least one tab shows at all times. That's a fail.
    From what I understand, future FF changes, maybe in FF24, will force a Chrome-like GUI appearance called Australis. That, too, is a fail.
    It would appear to me that FF22 was the last, best version of the browser. I have therefore disabled auto updates.

    have not accepted the update yet. Is roboform working In the new version ???

    accepted upgrade of firefox late last evening. no hassel's so far.
