For Any Thunderbird eMail Users, Please

Hello,

Someone has been spoofing my eMail, or at least that is what I think it's called.

I use Thunderbird.

Comcast Security has told me to reset my Comcast Password, which I can find where to do it.

But they also say that I will probably also have to reset my Thunderbird Password.

Have looked everywhere in Thunderbird Accounts, Options, etc. but cannot find any place to do it.

Sr. Citizen now, and not too sharp with this, but if anyone could tell me
Exactly where to go to find it in Thunderbird, and how to reset it, would be most appreciative.

I think that once you've changed your Comcast password, when you try to check your mail with Thunderbird it will find that it doesn't work and prompt you for a new password.

You're right, though - I can't find anywhere to change it proactively.

In Thunderbird: Tools, Options, Security, Passwords, Saved Passwords, Show Passwords. There, you will find the password(s) for your Email accounts.

If, however, by "Thunderbird Password," you are referring to a Master Password which must be entered before you can a access Thunderbird itself, that is found on the Passwords screen, right below Saved Passwords, and will only be active if you have selected the option and entered a master password, and its presence/absence would have no effect on any email accounts.
