Trying to Delete Temporary Internet Folder Files Wont work

My computer wont let me delete my Temporary Internet File folder. Reason why I want to delete it is that the file is holding 30gb of data. The folder is in:

    c://Users/V05/AppData/Local/Microsoft/Windows/Temporary Internet Files

I've tried Unlocker and file assassin and it doesnt work. The files that it contains are cookies in which I have never seen before. I believe I have a virus because it seems as the cookie files in which are in there are video cookies and once in a long time adds play in the background of my screen.

    What can i do?

Use Ccleaner to delete the files.

CCleaner - PC Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download

Install and run Microsoft Security Essentials.

Welcome to Seven Forums Tekano. We'll see if we can help you delete the files, but it may be only the tip of the iceberg if you are infected.

D/l the bat file at the bottom of my post to your desktop. Right click the bat file and choose Run as administrator. It will close Explorer, delete the contents of the temp folder, then restart explorer. Check if the files are gone now. If so, time to run some scans and make sure your system is clean. I'll suggest start with the free Malwarebytes and SUPERAntispyware

Malwarebytes : Malwarebytes Anti-Malware removes malware including viruses, spyware, worms and trojans, plus it protects your computer

SUPERAntiSpyware | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!

Let us know how it goes.

So I tried both and none of them worked. It did how ever successfully closed my explorer but when it tried to delete it, it prompt that the directory was in use and cannot delete it, so it was denied.

If you go into internet properties and and click on browsing history settings, what does it say for "disk space settings"?

You go to the control panel, click on internet options, then click settings under browsing history. I have seen problems with people deleting the temp internet folder before and sometimes the solution is a registry change, but there is a specific circumstance where it works. If you check that setting and it says that the "diskspace to use" is 8-8, then the fix in mind will work.

If you are randomly hearing music and ads in the background you probably have an infection. Sometimes if your infected bad enough downloading the suggested tools after the fact and runnign them won't do much good. You might want to try running the Malwarebytes in safe mode, that might catch the infection.

You might try the bat file in Safe mode. Also, you can d/l Lockhunter and right click on the folder and choose What is locking this file? It will show you what processes have it locked. You can also try to unlock it and delete. Since so many processes write to temp, you'll find a lot less locking processes in safe mode.

LockHunter is a free 64/32 bit tool to delete files blocked by any processes

    Try using "Move-On-Boot". It's free and can be downloaded from;

So I tried scanning with SUPERantiSpyware and it did scan and removed most of the adware. Although after prompting to reboot, it came up to a blue screen when I did reboot. It says that windows startup has crashed. :c and am required to do a start-up repair
