    Web page help

We are new to Windows 7 and have a question. When we are on a web page and minimize it, we can not go to another page unless we close out the page we are on. If we minimize it and then click on the icon on the lower left to reopen the browser, the page we just minimized reopens. Is there some place we can change a setting or are we doing it wrong. We are used to using XP. Thanks.

    Welcome to the Seven Forum!

The thread that ThrashZone linked to has several answers to your question. In post #8, it is suggested that people right click on the pinned task (the icon on the lower left) and then select the name of the application (Google Chrome) from that context menu. I do this many times each day, but sometimes I goof and click on the option to Unpin this program from the taskbar. Then I have to fix my goof :-(

Another option would be to use a shortcut on your desktop to open a new browser window. Those developing web browsers seem to want you to open one window and multiple tabs instead of opening a new windows.

Let us know if you need more info.

...or you might like this info:
