    YouTube Audio Suddenly Missing

On 10/4/2013 my audio on YouTube suddenly stopped on my Win7 64 bit desktop. I've seen some other posters with the same issue. It's not browser specific. The computer's audio works fine on all other websites that I visited including other ones with Adobe Flash Player (which is up to date).

My 2nd desktop computer with Win XP is likewise suddenly affected with the same issue.

Anyone know what is going on???

EDIT:SOLVED; I just fixed this problem on both computers. The small speaker icon on the bottom of the YouTube web page had a small grey x to the right of it. Clicking on the neither the speaker icon nor the x had any effect. HOWEVER, I clicked on the video time slider and moved the video ahead and the small grey x disappeared and the sound came on (both computers). I haven't made any changes to either computer recently and I don't know what changed in them nor why the time slider frees up the audio (but not the speaker icon nor the grey x) but it does.

Something is going on here but I don't know what.

My audio is also gone on YouTube.

I ran CCleaner to clean my cache, then a reboot, still nothing.

I happened to see an x next to the speaker on the youtube video.

Some how it got put on mute.

All YouTube audio is muted. - Google Groups

See edit to original post for additional info.
I'm the only person with access to my computers and they were working fine on YouTube yesterday.

seems to be a global issue with everyone having youtube muted, i wonder if it has something to do with the new google change of menu for images and calendar etc. seems to be coincidently connected

Yep, mine too. Windows 7 (Internet Explorer and Chrome), Mac OSX (Safari) and Ubuntu 10.04 (Firefox).

Has to be a YouTube or Google thing.
