Jagged font with new Yahoo Mail (using Chrome)

I was just switched to the new Yahoo Mail and the fonts are jagged. I assume this is something on my Win 7 system because I tried from another laptop and I'm not seeing the same font issue. I DO have clear type checked. What's going on?

A lot of people are complaining about the new version rammed down our throats this morning. It totally reeks! I'm getting similar results on IE10.

I'm using the latest v of Chrome. I tried turning on that aforementioned setting ... to no avail.

Internet options/ General/ Accessibility/ Ignore Font styles specified on webpages.

Holy smokes! That really jacked things up! All sites, including this one, were fouled up. Fortunately, it was reversible.

Actually, I believe that (in Performance settings) checking "Smooth edges of screen fonts" AND restarting Chrome seems to have fixed it.

lol I was only wondering what would happen on Yahoo
I didn't think it would go well on other sites/ There's a reason it's unchecked

Glad you found a setting in chrome which worked out
