How to setup a tab to Widows Seven Forums

I would like to create a tab page in igHome with links to threads on Windows Seven Forums. I know how to create a tab to a subpage and edit the title of the tab, so I can create a tab that says "Windows Seven Forums." The only way I know to add items to the page is to click on Gadgets, choose a gadget and click Add. I searched for a gadget for Windows Seven Forums and did not find one. Can someone help me figure out how to use tab feature on igHome to link to threads on Windows Seven Forums?

    Found it. Thanks.

In igHome I created a tab to a page I call Windows Seven Forums. I placed then SevenForums gadget on the page. Now one click takes me to any item listed in the gadget.

I would like to link to questions I have open on Windows Seven Forums. Do I need to create a custom gadget like SevenForums?

I'm not a developer so I can't answer. What I do to find my content is click Quick Links at the top of every page and click one of these:

My active threads, threads you have started.

Threads I posted in, self explanatory.

It's nice to be on Windows Seven Forums with one click, and from there get to a list of your posts in two clicks.

    Life is good. :)

Yes I tried --- I clicked on Add Gadgets, searched for Custom, found two choices: Custom Gadget (URL) and Custom Gadget (HTML) and tried them both.

When I clicked on Add it now, Custom Gadget (URL). A setup window appeared, in the Title field I typed YUMI (Your Universal Multisystem Installer), in the URL field I pasted the address for the discussion about YUMI appearing on Windows Seven Forums. Then I pressed Save. This gave rise to a 260 pixel window in igHome. I right clicked on the window and a menu with options pop-up. I selected Open in another window. Suddenly I am on the Windows Seven Forum. This is wonderful.

I would like to expand my capabilities one step further. I would like to create a custom gadget that lists links to Windows Seven Forms, like the custom gadget I downloaded called SevenForums. I clicked on Add it now, Custom Gadget (HTML) and a setup window called Your Posts appeared. It said HTML/JavaScript/Widget code. I pasted in the URL address for the discussion of YUMI, Saved and there it was in a window on my screen. What do I need to do to create a custom gadget like SevenForums? Is there a tutorial available like the wonderful one Golden made on how to create a YUMI USB?

A few things... I don't use igHome or Windows gadgets, so all I can do is Google the information (that's how I found information on igHome)

I'm guessing that your can put any URL in the custom igHome page. So depending on what you wnat to see on SevenForums is what URL you would specify. Say you want to see live posts, then open the live posts page on seveforusm, grab the URL and paste it into a igHome URL gadget. Same thing for my posts (err, your posts )

I've never dabbled in gadgets, but you might find your anser in these two pages:
Developing a Gadget for Windows Sidebar Part 1: The Basics (Windows)
Gadgets: Build Your Own Windows Vista Sidebar Gadget

    Good luck and have fun!
