    Internet wont allow downloads

Hey guys, I thought I knew what I was doing with computers, but, I am a n00b and messed with some sort of settings that now will not allow me to download attachments or mp3s to my computer.

I did mess with the internet options before the problem started, yet Im not sure what it was I clicked that started this fiasco.

I tried internet options>advanced tab>restore advance options. I cant tell if anything helped but I know the downloads still aren't downloading.

I should advise you Im on my work computer, I am not an admin & my manager is just as clueless as me when it comes to this issue.

Sorry for rambling, hopefully someone has the solution to my problem:)

    Thank you!

Your work computer should not be messed with without your management and the I.T. Department permission.
Because you are not a admin you probably don't have permission to download anything. The I.T. people probably have it set that way.

I highly recommend contacting your I.T. Department.

Ive been able to download anything I needed before I messed with whatever the internet setting were, its just nothing I seem to reset changes whatever I did.

Its my own personal work computer, I have zero restrictions with it.

We're a small company so we don't have an IT department.

Those two statements need a bit of clarification.

    1) When you state that you are not an admin...
...are you saying that your user account on this computer is a standard user?

    2) Do you or your manager know the password to an account on this computer that is of the admin type?

    3) Are you using Internet Explorer (IE)? If so, what version?

    4) If IE, have you tried a total reset as mentioned here?
    Internet Explorer - Reset

    5) What antivirus software or security suite are you using?

    6) Can you download the tool in this tutorial?

    7) What happens when you click on that blue download link? Nothing?

Not quite 20 questions - but I tried to get there
