Firefox 64bit addons

So I am using the 64bit version of Windows 7 now but can't seem to figure out why my addons don't work for Firefox, should I install a 64bit version of Firefox but I have heard issues of flash not being available. And I do like my youtube vids

It says Firefox needs to be restarted so Iclick the little button but Firefox doesn't start up again.... sorry but I'm a bit baffled.

You should have no problem using addons with the 32 bit Firefox browser in Windows 7 x64. I believe most addons won't work with the 64 bit browser however, not totally sure about that though as I haven't bothered using the x64 FF. And like you said, no flash.

Maybe try uninstalling FF, reboot, then re install it again.

You are correct Airbot, most 64-bit addons wont work. The author of the 64-bit firefox states that on his website. I do think that once 64-bit flash comes out we'll start to see more full 64-browser and addon support.

Thanks Airbot, but trying this Chrome browser and I got to say I'm loving it no matter about add ons now it's all about speed but thanks anyway for the advice.

Firefox (32 bit) works fine on my 64 bit system with lots of add ons. I have occasionally seen a problem like yours where Firefox won't start up again. Open task manager and see of Firefox really shut down. If you see any instances of Firefox, kill the process. Then see if Firefox will restart.

Good luck!

I've had a similar problem from time to time... It's almost like a code glitch, it accidentally skips the step where its told to end the program properly so the window will close but the process still runs with an insane amount of resource hogging.
