Downloading entire email message, along with attachment(s), in Thunder

    Hi Everyone,

I have made the decision to move from Gmail to Yandex mail. I now want to transfer all of my Gmail messages to Yandex (preferably without losing any data). Yandex offers an import option, however Gmail has blocked it - I received the message below from Gmail after attemtping to import messages to Yandex.

Because importing into Yandex directly looks to be impossible I have installed Mozilla Thunderbird (v 24.1.1) and configured it for my Gmail account. Whilst all the message headers have downloaded I am not convinced that full messages have downloaded, and I am absolutely certain that email attachments haven't.

Is there a way of "forcing" Thunderbird to download the entire email, attachment and all? My plan is to upload all messages from Thunderbird into the new Yandex account by adding the new account and then dragging and dropping folders / messages inside Thunderbird.

Any help here will be greatly appreciated.

    Kind Regards,

    Davo

Did you try the Google support link in that message? What was the outcome?

    Hi Golden,

To be honest I didn't bother. I don't think that "Big Brother" Google care a flying **** about me or my personal technical challenges.

    Kind Regards,
