Recently, I've been getting a lot of pop-ups and ads. even though I set, ... Tools > Turn off Pop-up Blocker.'

How to combat numerous pop-ups and advertisements, sometimes 'sexy ads.' whenever click to open one of threads in Discussion?

If you are getting stuff like that when visiting this site then your PC is infected with something as we dont serve ads like that, I suggest you do a full scan with your antivirus and Malwarebytes : Free Anti-Malware
