Needed to uninstall Chrome completely; reinstalled version won't run
I had (have?) a rogue search engine on my system highly problematic to remove, so was advised elsewhere to remove Chrome with Revo, after which I used CCleaner. By both processes I thought Chrome would be no more.
I reinstalled Chrome, downloading from Google not a third party. Installation succeeded but Chrome is unusable. I attempt to sign in, I am directed to https://accounts.google.com/ServiceL...l%3Fsource%3D1
but after a while "Web page not available" appears. Attempts to link to other web sites result in similar failure.
I have looked in the Google product forums, where of late very like questions have been asked, and have received scant or no replies. Therefore my questions are:
have I done enough to completely, utterly remove the old version, and if not what more should I do:
if my un-installation was sufficient, why I the reinstalled application failing to run?
Please, what can I do to make it run? Ideas, please, friends!
