    why? firefox -win7 - different

    thank you for previous help.

I am no whiz kid, we have 2 machines both with firefox and win 7

one machine required us to do an "add-on" install, the other has no "add-on's" installed at all.

is there a possible explanation, it's a bit like having 2 identical cars but one runs on water and the other won't until it is tweaked?

Hi you might verify the versions installed,
Firefox did just release a new version/ 27
    Plus what add-on was downloaded,
I'm not sure how to easily figure out which version is installed besides uninstall a program will show it,
    Cheers.

The version should be form the menu bar under Help/About.

    How did it "require" add-ons?

Hi the Alt key should make the Menubar appear where Help and about.. should be located,
    But at any rate,
Have you compared the add-ons is question ?
    Cheers.

What makes the suggestions? Can you post a snip of this?

This is the preferred, best way to upload an image or a file to a post. Press the Windows logo key and PrntScrn at the same time, this will capture the active window to use in Paint or your preferred graphics editor.

You may also upload a photo or image you already have as you would a file, without using the Snipping tool.

    G,day Len
A few of the things you see would be flash player for watching youtube etc, if you use java there will be 2 of those, plus the save link one you installed yesterday, if you have changed the FF theme there will be 2 or more of those and maybe you have installed an add-on or 2 somewhere along the track and may have forgotten that you did.

Len, could you click on the extensions tab and do a screen shot and then click on the plugins tab and do the same. If you want to know what Keepy and hyperlink5 cloud book are for, type the name into search all add-ons in the upper right corner, if you do not use them you can disable or remove. I really do not think anything is wrong excepting for the inability to drag the icon from browser to desktop.
