Is there any other browsers that are similar or better to Mozilla Firefox?

I do keep having problems with Firefox so it might just be better for me to move over to a new browser .

Thanks UsernameIssues, I will try that.

Any other ones?

I would quite like to have a range of different browser options so I can choose more easily for which one suits me best than just having to stick with one alternate browser .

Pale Moon will be good to use on forums like this.

I use IE11 for things involving money.

I use Chrome to watch stuff on Justin TV:
Live Channels - Entertainment - English
Because of the Chrome extension named SteamBurner.

I don't like "build your own browser" (e.g. lots of add-ons/plug-ins). I use lots of different computers each day and I want the browsers to act the same on each one :-)

I have now installed Pale Moon and Chrome, also have IE. They all work great!
I am especially pleased with Pale Moon, as it does not "hang" when it starts up.

Thanks for everyone's help .

I'm glad that the browsers are working for you.

As much as we would have liked to fix the issue with Firefox, this is one of those cases where it is just not practical to chase down the cause of Firefox's behavior on your computer.

Hey everyone, I know this thread is old but I just thought of another solution for anyone else who has this problem.

Instead of going through the whole process of opening task manager, finding the process then ending it.
You can do exactly that in one click with creating a shortcut.

Here's how you do it:

Fake Firefox process running at startup?
Lately I've noticed firefox running at system startup. It looks like this in task manager when I open the (real?) firefox: firefox.exe (10k something) (startup) firefox.exe (116k) (the actual browser) I've checked msconfig and there's no firefox on the startup list. I've run multiple...

Premature process startup
I installed windows 7 pro 64 on my laptop and desktop. But the laptop will not check disk or defragment the system files/pagefiles. There must be something starting up that prevents this. Disk check just freezes at the countdown 1. The defragment at bootup says the disk is being used by another...
