Can you open web pages or local html files with your brower?

Right click the object in the eMail, select properties and paste that information in a new post.

I can't tell what it is from your description (a web address) or what application should try to open it. Just because it looks like a web address, doesn't mean it is.

Hello Den,

As a test, see if setting Internet Explorer as the default program with all of it's associations may be able to help.

To be quite honest I am not too sure which was the magic elixir because like a fool and in sheer desperation I tried several regardless of consequences as I was on the verge of doing a reinstall.

Create any mail address.
I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but I thought this was quite interesting. With this you can make any kind of address, (Hatashi@Hatashi.com, really.. just anything, as long as it doesn't exceed the character limit and doesn't contain invalid characters). Though, you won't have a...
