Browsers not allowing me go to websites due to untrusted sites!?

    Hi,

I'm not sure if this is a Win7 issue or just the laptop. And this is my Dad's laptop so I'm sorry I can't shed more light on the matter, I'll be seeing him tomorrow to fix it.

This is a Dell Studio 1735 Laptop running Win7 Ultimate.

The family member who had it before him wiped the laptop, or at least deleted everything before giving it to him. The browsers were already installed so I'm guessing she just deleted everything she didn't need.

So I go to "Google.com" and both browsers say this site is untrusted and doesn't have a security certificate. The only site I can get to is finance.google.com. I am unable to add certificates too. Not sure what's going on. I will try uninstalling and reinstalling the browsers to see if it makes a difference. The laptop is running AVG anti-virus.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!
