Web Credentials , not thier ?

    Hello,

I have recently divorced Norton identity login toolbar. It was slowing down IE, plus you now have to enter a password upon opening of IE on EVERY boot ... (you never used to have to do this)

So I have started using IE11 Auto save username / password feature. Its not as advanced, but basic enough.

Its been playing up recently, sometimes logging in automatically, sometimes not, sometimes asks to save username / password, sometimes doesn't.

After googling ... people have said to check the 'Web Credentials' in control panel ... I don't have this feature on windows 7 ? ... its not their ? all I have is ... 'Windows Vault' as pictured below ...

Check "Credential Manager" in control panel, inside that there is the store credentials for automatic logon.

The attachment you posted looks like it's from a 3rd party. Did you uninstall the login toolbar? I feel like any toolbars can cause problems, remnants of the Norton login toolbar could be causing trouble.

I have read where sometimes Norton is hard to remove, not sure about their toolbar but these shyster software companies want to dump as much junk on a users' pc as they can. Just using the uninstall function in control panel isn't enough to get rid of it completely.

Revo Uninstaller removes much more than the programs uninstaller will, and it's freeware. I've posted a link to the freeware version Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems
