Some web sites, including many banks and a few other sites, tell browsers not to remember passwords for visitors by using autocomplete="off".
Which is what that page does, Firefox respects the web page author's coding in pages like that.

This bookmarklet makes the browser ignore autocomplete="off" temporarily, allowing you to save passwords even on sites that use autocomplete="off".

Remember Password bookmarklet:

Or, you can use the Saved Passwords Editor extension for web sites where Firefox doesn't offer to save the Username/Password.

Saved Passwords Editor works very well for me on Firefox.

Does it show as a choice under your Tools menu in Firefox? If not, you may not have it installed correctly.

Sound Mixer Doesn't Retain Settings After Reboot
I get all of the sound settings exactly how I want them, and invariably upon rebooting, all of the sliders go up to the maximum. This is somewhat annoying, but even more so for some apps, like my email client, which is set to play a sound when an email is received. The reason being that the...
