    Can't play Youtube any more

Since yesterday, I cannot play Youtube videos. In fact I cannot even play the ones I uploaded myself. For a test, I just uploaded this one, but cannot play it.

I set the system back to an image from 2 days ago, but that did not help. Neither did an update of the Flash player and switching the firewall and AV program off.

Videos from other people do not play either, funny though that the ads do play but then no joy with the videos themselves.

I also checked with my ohter systems - same story.

I am out of ideas Any suggestions would be welcome.

Btw: Playing my videos from Vimeo works as usual.

Well; I know this may sound kinda obvious; but; have you tried clearing your browser cache? I would try doing that and see if it fixes the issue as sometimes videos get "cached" which in turn may cause them not to load properly. Ive had this same issue before and tried that and it worked for me. So i would say give it a shot.

Tried other browsers and othe systems. Nothing works. I have 8 systems including some Linux with n-teen browsers. Same thing all over. It must be something in my Youtube settings - if there is such a thing. As I said, Vimeo plays perfectly.

    See next post.

    Good news.

All of a sudden it works again - out of nowhere. I have done nothing to it. Go figure.

    Thanks for your inputs.

Damn right Brian. Unbelievable things happen between heaven and earth. And I was trying so hard before versus this time where I really did nothing. Only wanted a URL to link one of my videos to a thread when I discovered that all of a sudden it worked.

It's like the other day when a whole partition disappeared from one of my disks without any interference - quasi over night when the PC is shut off.

Pretty weird stuff happening with your system brother ?
    Just for the record,
Which browsers did you have the issue with,
Which security suite/ 's do you run ?
    Cheers.

Browsers I tried were IE, Chrome, Opera, Firefox and Chromium in Windows and Linux. In Windows I have MSE and the firewall plus the router firewall. In linux I have nothing except the router.

But now everything is back in good order. These things are scary because you cannot determine the cause.

I think the fault is at You Tube's end. I often have trouble getting some videos to play. even one of you Vimeo tuts sat for about 10 seconds before doing anything, but it played fine.

Since it was down for you in in 8 different systems, I doubt it was on your end.
