    Cannot import bookmarks to laptop

When I click import bookmarks in Firefox from saved bookmarks, the library and Firefox freezes.
    (script error)

I have never had a problem with my PC importing bookmarks.

    Hi,
    Verify the process,
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb...-google-chrome
If these bookmarks "Favorites" came from another browser please state which one,
    Cheers.

    Thanks for reply,

The saved bookmarks came from Firefox.(on my pc.)

I recently purchased a laptop and installed Firefox there as well.

I am just trying to import them to the laptop (firefox.)

    Hi,
Did you export to a html file ?
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb...+file&r=0&as=s
Then you should be able to transfer the file to your other machine via email... and Import that file,

    Yes, I did.

I've been using this method for years when doing a clean install and the html is there and if I click on it, all bookmarks are there.

It just won't import them from pc to laptop - which I click "import", it freezes.

I now see them, just not on browser toolbar, where I expected to see them.

With Chrome, the imported bookmarks do show that way.

    Hi,
You might right click the html file and click on Properties,
On the General section see if there's a Unblock button active,
    Cheers.

    Unblock button
    No such button there.

    Maybe laptops work differently?

Guess this will have to do.
