    Deleting a contact in WLM

    I need to clean up my WLM list. I have multiple contacts for each person. Some have the same information and some are old addresses that don't work. I can right click and "delete" some of them but some of the contacts can't be deleted, the "delete" word is not highlighted. When I click on the contact that I want to delete, the "delete" icon at the top of the screen is also not highlighted. Thanks for your help.

    This may be the reason;

    You can't delete contacts that appear in your contacts list by virtue of your linking some social networking service like Facebook to your Windows Live account. These are your Facebook friends who would have to be removed from your list in Facebook itself. You can, however, remove the link to Facebook:
    In WLMail, click the right-most button on the Home tab and select View my profile.
    On the left-hand side of the page that opens, under Connected to, click Manage.
    Under the name of the connected service that you no longer want on your profile, click Edit.
    At the foot of the page, click Remove this connection completely.
    You'll no longer see contacts from this other service in WLMail once your contacts list has synchronized with Hotmail again (this might take a few hours).

    Hi Sir George, thanks so much for your response. I've been trying to work with what you sent.
    I see in WLM the "view my profile" and I see that I'm connected to Facebook, Skype, Messanger and Google. On the left hand side, under my name, I see listed "My Profiles" with Skype & Facebook. I can't see how I can remove any of the linked services. When I open Skype, under account settings, I can see that it says "Not linked".
    My husband has a tablet and he is connected with my account. Could the settings be linked on his tablet and affecting my computer? He doesn't use WLM on his computer because if he connects to his computer, then I receive duplicates of my emails for the last year! But when I click on the Facebook setting, it shows his account as connected.
    More confused than ever!
