Internet Explorer Unusable State Using Firefox Need IE Sometimes

    Hello,

Not long after purchasing a Dell Inspiron Desktop Computer Internet Explorer stopped working. I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-32-bit OS.

Explorer only shows part of the page .... It's hard to explain. It's not obvious what's missing. Sometimes it comes up just blank. When I load it .... It does come up blank.

When a website pushes me into Internet Explorer I get the partial page deal.

I've updated to Explorer 11 ..... Did that today. No luck, Same problems.

I keep everything updated. The computer is powerful. I run security, maintenance and troubleshooting programs.

I don't really like Explorer BUT some websites, especially Microsoft push me into that browser. Is anyone surprised?

I've studied everything. I've tried to remove both versions from my computer. It won't allow. So I can't remove and reinstall.

Any microsoft help sites won't work in Firefox ..... they pop me into Explorer .... Which won't work.

So how do I get help fixing their product, which won't work, if they require me, to use that product, to try and fix, the broken product .......????? That won't work ....

I've left this alone for years. Lately I need that product that can't be fixed without using the product that can't be fixed.

No Geek Here ..... Need Geek Help ...... Microsoft Geeks Need Not Apply.

Thanks in advance for any help. I know you'll have questions so let them fly,

    Kind regards,

    jericroth

Sorry, that request is beyond my knowledge or skill level. I didn't even understand the tutorial regarding it.

    1. Click on the button. (Keep Internet explorer open)
    2. Type snipping tool.
    3. Take a screenshot of the problem.
    4. Upload it to the forum.

I will do that. It will take some time and can't do it right now. Thanks for your help. Hopefully when I get that posted someone will be there to assist. I don't have explorer loaded right now. I'm using Firefox. Not exactly sure yet how or what to do. Kind regards, jericroth.

    Hi and welcome to sevenforums,
See if no add-ons mode will accomplish anything,
    Click the Start button
And type in the search box internet explorer,
    Click on No add-ons,

Thanks .... Tried that after reading tutorial ..... Before posting the query thread.

I will post more information. Here is an example of what is happening. I just opened WI Explorer 11 .....

I hit the "HOME" icon ..... I use My MSN ..... What opens is the MSN Page ..... Perfectly fine up till now.

Then, I mouse up to the right top of page and hit "Sign In". The page goes to blank.

It's like it opens O.K. but won't let me go anywhere. That seems to be the case. As earlier stated it also opens pages that are incomplete or don't function properly.

An example of this would be the page opens properly. But in this example I can't even view ways to navigate.

The above happens even on Microsoft Help pages. It seems if any pages would work with Explorer, these pages should.

Thanks for those who've offered possible solutions.

    Thanks for the information.

Have you tried clearing the history?

Run the System File Checker that scans the of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible:
