Can't stop junk mail filtering, which ignores "Not junk" tagging
In Windows Live Mail, Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3522.0110): I've turned my "junk email protection" off: "No Automatic Filtering." Moreover, I've unchecked both Phishing Protection options, so that protection is off as well. Yet incoming messages regularly appear in my Junk folder, with no warning to me. These are mostly from senders whose mail I have *not* flagged as junk. (In fact many of these messages are of vital interest to me.) I’ve also noticed that a junk-folder message I’ve tagged as “Not junk” will typically be followed by similar messages from the same sender, again diverted as junk.
Why does this happen and how can I stop it?
UPDATE: I've seen now that the "Not junk" button has options for me to add the sender or the sender's domain to safe senders. (For some reason I must also click the main "Not junk" option for the message to be re-diverted to my inbox.) I hope and trust this will work. However, my primary question remains: Why are important messages diverted as junk when I've disabled junk filtering, as described above?
