    disable tooltips - chromium

Just joined and I need help please. I would like to accomplish this:

Chrome "Developer Tools" element - hide annoying yellow dimensions box - Stack Overflow

Seems straightforward, but I'm not a developer, hacker, or that great of a tweaker. I'm just a guy trying to make the mouse over/hover tooltips go away, like when I hover over a bookmark link in a bookmark folder for example. If someone could lead me through this fix baby step by step, assuming I have zero experience working with chromium, I would GREATLY appreciate it.

    chromium version 37.0.2011.0

    Thanks

Welcome to Seven Forums BistroRacing. That link is specific to disabling tooltips only in Chromes Developer Tools. While something similar may be possible for Chrome itself, in general, I have had no luck finding that method. Everyone says that tooltips cannot be disabled in Chrome globally. In fact, they have been saying this for years. If Chrome wanted to do this, they surely know many people complain about it. Walking you through that fix will not help you do what you want to do I'm afraid. A Guy

ok thanks Guy. I've been using Opera Next for the past 4 or 5 days and while it does display tooltips, it will only mimmick the title I've given a folder or link, so I can live with that. And it is faster than chrome/chromium on my machine.
