Address Book import from Outlook Express

I've just HAD to change from Windows XP (thank you so much, Microsoft; f**k you...) to a refurbished machine running Windows 7. The old machine had Outlook Express; the new one has Outlook 2007.

I've transferred all the e-mails I need to keep (by forwarding them one by one; a pain, but it worked), but now I need to import my address book. I copied it to a memory stick as a .wab file, and it's now on my desktop. If I have the inbox displayed, and click on 'search inbox', then click in the drop-down box on 'search desktop', there the data are. Not in alphabetical order, as they were when downloaded, but there.

How do I get the info into my address book? Please help.

I went from Outlook Express to Thunderbird 4 or 5 years ago.

I don't remember all the details, but I eventually got it done. Importing and exporting stuff in mail programs is generally a major pain and very cumbersome.

Here's the only link I have left. Maybe it will help.

How to back up and to restore Outlook Express data

Other than that, resort to your Google search talent for the relevant terms and hope you hit something.

    Holy Solutions, Batman!! It Worked.

You are not just A guy, you are THE guy; indeed, the Main Man as well. I'd swear in relief, but I'll get my botty smacked by the mods.....

Thank you very much indeed, twice over, with knobs on.
