Possibly document mode to ie10 will prove successful ?
If i change the document mode to 10 it displays fine... is there a way to tell my site to use that?

Hi,
Good news,
Well I'm not a site builder but John here that owns sevenforums.... said one time he turned on Compatibility mode,
What ever that means,
Every site uses a default document page not sure how but it just means Wordpress is a bit to optimistic on there sites compatibility with ie11 "edge mode" doc mode page standards ?
I'm pretty sure you used a template wordpress provided ?
I would contact wordpress.com or .org about the issue,
Can't really say much else without a link to your site
Cheers.

Well i have just put the following code into the head and that has fixed it (it may not be the cleanest?) but it now displays how i would expect it.

Code:
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=9; IE=8; IE=7">
