Google Chrome - Bookmark bar - can I make it permanently disappear?

    Hi

I do not want Chrome to show the bookmark bar. I have already unticked "show bookmark bar" but there is still a bar under the address bar whenever a new tab is open and it takes up some screen space. I can make it go by e.g. control+shift+b . However, it comes up again as soon as a new tab is open (even though it is blank). My purpose is not to have this space occupied so that I can see more useful information. Help, please?

Hello Newcomer mate try this https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95745?hl=en if you have not knowing what Chrome looks like but does it have a function Manage add ons that IE has?

There is this but I don't know if it is what you want. If it is becoming that annoying - a change to something else?? How to hide bookmarks from the new tab page in Chrome? - Super User
