    can't get into Yahoo

A while ago I had a problem trying to get to a site on Yahoo. Then it began working again. The only thing I've done since then is D/l Malwarebytes and zip code companion. Yesterday I used my search engine to find something, but when I clicked on the site to go to, which was a yahoo site, it said I didn't have permission to use it. I've checked everything in my internet options and nothing has changed. I even tried to put it in my trusted zones, but I still can't get to any site. My husband and grand daughter have no problem getting to their facebook pages on Yahoo, but anything else and I don't have permission. Can anyone help me?

    Thank you

Try using another browser, like Chrome.

Why are you trying to get to Facebook through Yahoo ? Or any other site for that matter ?

What? I have IE 10. If I decide to try and find something, cars, books, cooking advice, ANYTHING, I usually use my Copernic, which has numerous search engines. It then gives me an array of sites to check, I pick one and go to it. Recently if I pick a site that is affiliated with Yahoo, it doesn't let me in anymore. And the only reason I mentioned Facebook is because I was under the impression Yahoo ran it, or was affiliated with it. I'm sorry but I have no idea what you are talking about.

Copernic to my understanding is a search engine that searches other search engines for information. I'm thinking the true owners of the other search engines like Yahoo, Google, Bing ect. don't think much of that and block Copernic.
    Just a thought.

    Try searching without using Copernic.

    Hi Kathyhil

I would also suggest you put your full computer specs on your profile- will help if you need computer assistance.

This will fill out all info and you can automatically upload it to your profile page.:)

I use Yahoo email and I think Yahoo is just very buggy at times. I don't use Yahoo for searches but Google or Duckduckgo.com.

I also use the Yahoo Sports for some NASCAR info and it goes bonkers at time. I think they are always "improving" things for us. Last month I tried to logon my Yahoo mail account and got a big message saying my account was suspended for inactivity and I use it several times daily.

I have also had the same experience clicking a Google result, Page Can't be Displayed.

Thank you PSC02007, Sounds like something I'd personally like to see anyway :). Logging off for the night now, but would like to give it a try tomorrow. I really appreciate the help given by yourself, Layback Bear and Britton30. I may have forgotten more about the pc than I learned 20 years ago, but it's always nice to not feel stupid when I'm trying to just learn again. You all have a great weekend :).

I hope we have given you a bit of help.

Don't forget to help someone else with your increased knowledge!

You can learn more about your comp here- HP TouchSmart 320-1030 Desktop PC Product Specifications | HP® Support

Kathy - If you haven't already, make a backup image.(Use the free edition) and be careful of any other changes it might want to make to your comp -i.e. changing homepage, search engines, etc.
When you download any program, if it offers "Custom" take that option and uncheck any other garbage.
If you have a crash or problem, you can get everything back to normal in a matter of a few clicks.

Make a boot CD - instructions on the download.

Thank you PSC02007, and I believe I just accomplished the PC specs on here. Certainly not the bottom, but it filled in the top with my PC info!
