Unable to send Page or link in WLM

Have you tried resetting Live Mail as the default email application? When you go to the default applications control, click on Windows Live Mail, and then click on choose defaults for this program. Deselect all, save, close the app, then open it up again, click choose defaults.., select all, save.
Many thanks Kegobeer for easy to follow solution. My further frustration with WLM began the day after I had sent as normal, links to articles/subjects via WLM and the following day found the send link/page option was not available.I have so far been unable to find an explanation why Microsoft made this sudden change.
Again,Thank you for your willingness to share knowledge.

Now my send page by email and link by email are greyed out. I have changed nothing and programme has all it's defaults. Windows7 can be a right pain at times! Any help is always much appreciated.

    try this

    Go to Control Panel
    Default Programs
Set Program Access and Computer Defaults
    Custom
Choose "use my current web browser" and "use my current email program"; and "enable access to " the other programs listed.

sometimes you have to reset it, but this should work.

Many thanks for your reply. I tried your suggestions and, as they were already in place, I reset them. No joy. But knowing how fickle these things can be, I set it to "use internet explorer" and "use windows live mail" Hey presto! it worked. Do not ask me why, but it does. So, in a roundabout way, you got me there. Thanks again.

Solution to send links and pages on windows 7

    jjthenovice said:
I'm using IE8 and Windows live mail both set as default apps. I'm running ultimate 64 bit. Here's the thing: I press "alt" key to bring up file menu. Under file I choose "Send". The "send link by email" and "send page by email" are greyed out. IE8 is set to my default browser and Windows live mail is set as default for my mail client. Any ideas why the above is greyed out? This occurs on both the 32 and 64 bit browser....
    Thanks
    JJ
    1. Highlight URL Address of web site .

Yes, setting default to current browser and email worked for me and for some reason they sometimes reset themselves but at least now I know what to do. Thanks forums

Just fixed it. Solution is: go to default program in control panel. choose "set program access and computer defaults". Choose custom. Next unselect "use current web browser" and select ie8. Do same for email. Click apply and it's fixed.
Thanks for help, it got me pointed in right direction...

jj: THANK YOU!!!! I have spent hours trying to find this fix---you did it! THANKS SO MUCH!!
