    Window busy

    Hi all,
If there is a thread similar to this, sorry, but I did a search and didn't find anything.

All of a sudden,I can't get any sites to open, and when I close out IE11 I get the Window Is Busy screen.
I had IE10 and thought maybe it had a problem,so I installed IE11. No change.
Homepage site opens fine, but nothing else.

Tried disabling all add ons. That didn't help.
I use MalwareBytes and Kaspersky. Neither one comes up with any issues.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

glc mate I am having a few issues with MBAM and Kaspersky too on my main machine not that Windows is not functioning more that MBAM often goes to not responding.

I am wondering if you should try disabling either and try.

    You could run these too

You say you can't get any sites to open. Does IE try, and then give an error? If so, can you post a screenshot of the error?

When did this begin? Do you have a System Restore point from before it began?

    System Restore

Do you have any other browsers on your PC (Chrome, Firefox, etc.)? If so, do they work?

Try booting to Safe Mode with Networking

    Safe Mode

Can you open web pages in safe mode? If so, try a Clean Start to see if you have a conflict

Greg as A Guy says mate and if it were me I would even try uninstalling the 11 and reinstalling only don't forget to download and save the application first.

I am assuming you did this when going over to IE11 from the 10?

Yes,it tries. Ball in address bar just sits there spinning. When I close the browser the 'WINDOW IS BUSY"
    window pops up.

    System Restore

I have tried a restore point before the problem. No different.

Yes, my other two browsers (Chrome and Firefox) work fine.

Same problem in Safe Mode also.

11 was still in my Optional Windows Update. That is where I got it.

IE is your default browser? What page is the homepage set to? Try this, make sure IE is closed, and iexplore.exe is not running in task manager:

Start> In search box type Default programs> Enter> Set your default programs> Click on Internet Explorer> Choose Defaults For This Program> Select all> Save> OK your way out

See if any help. A Guy

Yes,it is my default browser. Well, until this problem anyway.

My homepage is NASCAR.com. It opens fine. Did what you suggested. IE only had 6 of 14 defaults set.
Has all now,but problem still exists.

    I appreciate all you're doing A Guy.

If you change the home page, to, say, google, does that still open? If you open a new tab and type in the nascar.com addy, does it open that way? How are you opening IE? From a desktop shortcut? From a shortcut pinned to the taskbar?
