    Customize "Downloads" folder path

    In Win-XP Internet Explorer "Downloads" folder path could be set in ...

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer
    Name:= Download Directory
    Data:= <my preferred path>

    I do not use Internet Explorer, but occasionally some downloads do not give me any option where to download to.
    Nor do I use MS default Downloads folder at all.
    What/where can I tweak the registry in Win-7 ?
    Key-Path ?
    Name ?
    Type ?
    Data ?

    Win-7 registry is not the same as Win-XP
