Not able to log into online banking in i.e. 11

I have had problems logging into my online banking in i.e. 11. I don't know if they've done a recent update, but on one bank this just started last weekend - another account has been unable to log in for months (I finally figured out I can log in if I use my chrome browser - which I hate). How can Microsoft not know & fix this. I know I can't be the only one...is there some way to download an old (but works) version of i.e.? Not sure this is the right forum, feel free to move it if necessary.

I would like to make a couple of suggestions to help in this matter.

First I would look to see if the compatibility settings are on or off for those sites. See this link for the how to. If they are on then remove the site from the list. If they are not in the list then add them. The issue is really with the banks and other websites that are not being upgraded to function correctly with IE11 not MS.

Second I would suggest trying Firefox to see if you might like it better than chrome.
