How can I retrieve a deleted Windows Live Mail Account

I am not a computer tech guy. So, patience required by those who are. Thanks in advance.

I have two accounts set up in Windows Live Mail. The operating system is Windows 7 Professional. Everything has run very smoothly for the last three years or so. Today I tidying out the inbox for one of those accounts; deleting, transferring to folders both within Live Mail and elsewhere in the computer. On checking new email I am presented with a small pop-up box which, at a glance, I thought was the request by an e-mailer for me to acknowledge receipt of the email. I trust the email and click "Yes" I then realise that the box has changed, showing a progress bar with a green wave flowing left to right with bar steadily filling up. I then realise that it is about to delete one of my email account. With the progress bar half full I click on the "cancel" button. The box disappears but then so does my account! I scan the computer for viruses but find nothing. I use "System restore" but nothing comes back. I have looked on the internet and have found advice and instruction for people that have had the same problem but even the instructions for Windows 7 do not marry up with my system i.e. navigating to folders. I feel that there must be a difference between Windows 7 and Windows 7 Professional.
I have gone to mail2web and there is my account. i.e. I can log onto my account through mail2web and see emails still on the server, following the deletion of the account on Windows Live Mail in my computer.
Help with layman type instruction would be greatly appreciated.

The view is set up as you have shown. I have clicked on "Deleted Items" and nothing is shown. I take it that this could be a bad thing or a good thing; Either the account has been deleted completely or it doesn't show because it hasn't actually been deleted and is still there... somewhere...

Sorry for the delay in this reply. The problem is fixed. Thank you for your help and advice. In layman terms, I hope, here is what I did.
First, the problems that I had with following the instruction to go to C/users/my name/AppData/local/Microsoft/windows/live mail. I got as far as my name but could see no “AppData”. This was solved by going to Computer/Tools/View/Hidden Folders and Drives by clicking “Show hidden folders and drives” all was revealed. Right clicking on “restore previous versions” and selecting a previous date for Windows Live Mail did not work. I closed WLM down chose the restoration point (prior to losing the account), opened WLM and the account with all of its emails was still missing.
I then re-created the lost account by adding a new account, using exactly the same settings as those for the lost account. I then went back to WLM. There was the account but there was not an email to be found.
I then went down the path of C/users/my name/AppData/local/Microsoft/windows/live mail.The window showed that there were two folders, both with names recognisable to the lost account. The names of the folders both had the main word for lost the account’s name. The only difference between the two folders were three characters, added to the end of the name. One ended with a78, the other ended with ed1. One had yesterday’s date on it (Date modified); the date that the account was lost. This was ed1. The other, a78, had today’s date on it (Date modified); the day that I had renewed/added the account using the lost account’s settings. Folder a78 was empty. Ed1 was very full.
These three ending characters may have been randomly chosen by the computer or they may have some technical significance. Whichever the case, I didn’t chose them and they are not recognisable in their meaning to me. I only use them here to identify the two folders as I progress.
So, the contents of the lost account had been stored in the Live Mail folder ed1 but although the renewed account settings were identical to those of the lost account, it was not pointing at this old folder. Instead, Microsoft Live Mail had created the new folder a78 for the renewed account and this was the folder that the renewed account was pointing at. Of course, this folder was empty; hence I could see no emails for this account when I opened up Windows Live Mail after renewing the lost account. The good news was that in addition to the fact that future emails would be going into this new folder, I could also copy and paste into the new folder the Inbox and Sent Item folders from the old folder into it. I did this; replacing the empty In Box and Sent Items folders in a78 with the old In Box and Sent Items folders from Ed1 which were full of my emails. I was encouraged by the progress bar taking its time, showing me that there was a lot of stuff being pasted in.
There were a total of three folders in the ed1 folder; Inbox, Sent Items and Junk. For obvious reasons I did not copy and paste the Junk folder into I did not the new folder a 78.
At the end of pasting in the folders I opened WLM, nervously clicked on the Inbox for the renewed account and was relieved to see a cascade of emails pouring into the opened Inbox. The same for Sent Items.
