This is what I did. I uninstalled NIS and installed ESET Nod 32 AV that I still had till May 2015. Uninstalled the MBAM 2 Free I had and found the 1.75 and installed that on my main Laptop which is like a desktop. It has a 19 inch screen so it stays home. I upgraded the 1.75 MBAM to Pro. I was running the free but I had the licence so it was just a matter of upgrading it. Now for my little Acer laptop. Also uninstalled NIS and installed ESET Nod 32 AV. I owned a SuperAntiSpyware Pro licence so I just upgraded the free version to Pro so I'm running that alongside ESET AV on the little Acer. Added all the exclusions and everything is behaving so far. Hopefully it will stay that way. It wasn't hard finding older versions of MBAM. Thanks for the info on that. Also thanks for pushing me a bit to get off my ass and get a little more security conscious.

Hi no problem buddy,
Just because mbam pushed the 2.0... version out doesn't mean the 1.75.. version is now crap,
Allot of people are reverting back to 1.75.. for many reasons,
I would still how ever report the issues to mbam and have at least your feedback seen,
All of the exclusions are important for each others processes so good job there

Will do about the MBAM feedback. It's funny sometimes how a company that is revered for their software will come out with an upgrade that their customers will just go, "what happened there??" that is the way I felt when I first got a look at MBAM 2.0. I feel so good about being back in 1.75 territory. It's familiar and it just seems to run so much better during scans. I had a couple of small hiccups this morning in Event Viewer. They were concerning the HIPS service that I somehow set for interactive mode when I should have just left it default. Some of these settings can be awfully temperamental when you don't get them just right. I have always had a bit of trouble setting all of ESET Nod 32 after install. They have user guides but not much on explaining proper settings. I'll live though.

Thanks I'm glad you got Eset working with mbam 1.75..
mbam needs to work with Norton on how they can work together and not clash,
Probably the same with Eset and mbam 2.0... too
Cheers.

I just keep my eye on Event Viewer if I get any weird hiccups. Sometimes there's easy soutions sometimes I need to come to the forum but either way I usually find a way. Thanks again
