Internet site anomaly on 4 of 5 systems

I have an anomaly that I first thought was site-related, then began to believe that it was browser-related, and now discover that I've no idea to what it's related!

I have five systems running Windows 7-64, four of which are running Enterprise Edition, and the fifth, Ultimate. All are completely current with Microsoft Updates, and all have the same software set.

This anomaly is apparent using Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Firefox (V 31.0) browsers, so it's not (necessarily) the fault of browser ad-ins.

I like to read obsolete books. I often look at Pirate Bay and/or Demonoid to see what may be available. (demonoid.ph)

On the Demonoid site, I'm unable to use their "search" function on four of my five systems. (The fifth system, running Enterprise, works just fine!) If I start by using keywords in the "Torrent Search" box on the Demonoid "Home" page, the screen basically clears and remains static. The same behavior is exhibited if I add any "word", (or words) to the "Keywords" box on the "Torrents" page "Filter" panel.

None of this is life-threatening! I've one system I can use to "search", so life is good. On the other hand, I can't abide a riddle such as this without at least TRYING to solve it. ANY help or suggestions will be gratefully appreciated. If any readers have the time to try this on their own systems, and run into the same anomaly, I'd be interested knowing.

I'd CERTAINLY be interested in a working solution!

Thanks,

JLOB

I would suspect a anti virus or anti malware program is blocking access to those sites.

I'm not trying to use/promote/discuss pirate sites. I occasionally look at both of those sites for obsolete, out of print books that can't be acquired any other way. NOTHING I might download could be construed as proprietary or have copyright implications.

That said, the malware software I use (MalwareBytes) is installed and running on all five systems. Apparently has no effect on ONE of them. Despite that, I uninstalled everything I could think of that might cause the problem and STILL can't enter anything into a search field without it hanging.

Thanks for the response though.

Are Unix systems more secure than Windows systems?
Lately, I've heard some people say that the Unix code is more secure than the Windows code and that the Windows code has many holes and bugs in it. Before, I always thought Unix systems (for example, Mac) were less likely to get infected by viruses only because they had a lower market share....
