    IE + Chrome both crash

    Hello,

Joined up today as i am having a problem when i open my Internet explorer or Chrome, they just crash and shut down, i know this was related to some Malware i had on the PC.

I belive this has been removed, Is there any way i can fix this? it only effects my user account, whenever i open IE and chrome they crash, but if i log on the computer as another user they open and stay open fine.

I really don't want to bin my profile off, really hope we can fix this.

Thanks in advance for any advice given.

    Todd

    1. Click Start
    2. In the search box, type cmd
    3. In the list that appears, right-click on cmd.exe and choose Run as administrator
    4. In the command window that opens, type sfc /scannow and hit enter.

Report the output from the command window once it finishes.

Scan is running, it just came up with windows explorer has stopped, then it restarted (third time this has come up since the virus) i think this may be connected.

    Hi,
I'm sorry if you uploaded the text files I don't see them ?
    Use Clean boot,
    https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/179159-troubleshoot-application-conflicts-performing-clean-startup.html
Click Start and type in the search box,
    msconfig
Click on the suggestion on top or hit the Enter key,
Go to the Startup section and take some screen shots for a complete list,
Go to the Services section and on the bottom left Check the box to Hide All Microsoft services,
    Repeat the screen shots,
See the links above my signature on how to take and upload screen shots here,
    Cheers.
