    Windows Live Mail????

If I try to retireve mail(I sent from another PC) The box for each email account pops up and asks for password. It's in there., the box is checked But it still asks. Over and over . Then errors for all 3 emaila accounts say bad password? Of course, as I go back to xp pro (dual boot system) email works as it should, same setup, same passwords???>
What am I missing? Here is the error message:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Frankdee (frank) account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.
    Server Error: 0x800CCC90
    Server Response: -ERR authentication failed
    Server: 'pop.1and1.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92
    Protocol: POP3
    Port: 110
    Secure(SSL): No
    Thanks

Have you verified that all of the settings are correct? Usually when there are authentication issues, the username, password, or SSL/ports aren't correct.

Yes-character for character from WinXP pro-I was leary about WinLive Mail, but once installed I liked it-looks, etc. I will keep trying I guess. At first I thought it might be my mail host 1and1, but xp is fine. Webmail is fine? I have 3 email accounts at 1and 1-for years now.And one at comcast, different email host of course. Maybe I'll try some settings that shouldn't work, couldn't hurt!
Thanks for the reply. I will post back whenever I find the problem

It's usually the small things. I checked 1and1.com and they do show you have to use your email address in the account name/logon section. It is probably there in your XP detailed email settings.

Well, I like WLM-nicew program. Much better than OE. I really like this forum also. I checked out quite a few win 7 forums. This one seems perfect for me. Hopefully after a while I can contribute also. I am an M$ tech, been a while though. In another field now. Less stress!
    Thanks
