    WLM. Storage folders have disappeared

I am using Windows Live Mail on an H-P desktop running Windows 7 (64). I had numerous storage folders listed in the left hand pane when I opened the mail program and they have disappeared. The folders still exist as I can move emails into them but I need to see them when I open the program. These folders were listed under STORAGE FOLDERS and were listed that way when I moved my email from another program. I would appreciate help on how I can restore the names of the folders on opening the program.

Hello and welcome bargee now so that I have it right - these folders just stopped appearing? If so I would suggest you start with running these

Hi bargee, open the 'View' tab in WLM then click 'Storage Folders' to have them on display when WLM is opened.

Thanks, Roderunner. Under Storage Folders, I have Drafts, Sent items, Deleted items, and Imported Folder. When I click on Storage Folders in the View window, Storage Folders in the left pane disappears. I think I need to expand the Imported Folder but I don't know how to do that.

Okay, Gang, this is where we are. I decided to recreate all the storage folders under Import so I clicked on "new folder". With that all of my storage folders appeared in the box. I tried to copy them but when I tried to highlight them, they again disappeared. Scared me. I canceled and went through the "new folder" process again and they are back. I don't know how to get them from that box over to the left pane like they were before. They are there. I just don't know how to place them where they were.

Yes mate I never use them to be honest.

Bargee now I don't know what is going on in your machine so I would suggest again you run those scans at lest the top two - will not do any harm and may even fix the problem.

Thanks, gang. I am embarrassed to report that rebooting fixed the problem and all folders are in their appointed places. Sorry for taking up your time. Memo to self - Remember to reboot FIRST.
