    All good stuff Steve.

    I still want to hear what Vze has to say - after that we can pick up on all the other stuff (Combofix, SFC, Repair Install ... ). We're all just thinking out loud. I checked the Spanish page before, but forget my conclusion (not HTTPS?) - it's moot now though - Buratti cannot get to ANY Vze page. I'm waiting for the Vze update before proceeding on this end.

    Yes Bill, "All good Stuff".

    Thank you, you gave me my chuckle of the day! You can start callin' me Leaf Herder now, I finished up 2hours of blowin' the yard, talk 'bout cramps...

    Jeez Bill, you started a third page. ..All good stuff!.. I'm done...

    Good nite Mrs. Calabash, where ever you are!

    Just wanted to report that I am able to remotely download my Verizon e-mail again from my TWC account. I don't know if Verizon is allowing 3rd party ISPs to access their POP server now or if my whitelist request was granted. Good luck, Buratti! Hope your issue is resolved now, also.

    OK back up and running!!!!!!!!! I did not call Verizon at all, but was on my list of things to do today. I googled for a tech support number on a different computer on my network and then noticed that the dropdown was now working correctly. I moved back to my computer and tried to open a Verizon site and it opened just fine and I could log in fine. I gave the true test and opened Outlook, and low and behold its working again!!!
    I guess this confirms it was a secret Verizon issue that they eventually corrected themselves.

    I thank you all for the 9 pages and 80+ posts in trying to help me in fixing this problem.

    That's great to hear Buratti! Thank you for posting back.

    Give it a few days, a week, to make sure everything is working okay and if it is, you can come back and finalize your thread by marking it solved.
    If you're sure now you can do it now, if something does go awry later on you can always re-mark it Unsolved.

    Its the green button next to the orange Post Reply button that only you can see because it is your thread.

    Thanks again for everyone's help with this. I will mark it solved. I do however have another small problem that just started today. I am almost confident that this has nothing to so with the Verizon problem though, but may or may not be related to my original problem stated in post 1. I might be better to just start a new thread but I will mention it quickly and then start a new one if advised.

    As stated in earlier posts I often use Remote Desktop to connect to my work computer from home. My work computer as well as home laptop is windows 7 home premium. Natively you cannot RD into a home premium machine but any google search will give you instructions on a patch that will allow it. I have been using that patch (called concurrent RDP patcher) without any problems until this morning. Now whenever I try to connect, it goes through all the login and security certificate screens as usual, but only now as soon as the Remote Desktop "should" appear it goes back to the original connection screen. This happens from home and while on a different computer on the same network. Any suggestions or should I try a new thread?

    @Steve:
    Fair enough ... it's been 6 days since you posted that Steve, er Leaf Herder. I got caught up with a few clients all demanding more time than the day allowed.

    @michec:
    thanks for posting your update, every piece of information helps ... and in this case there was nothing SF members could do to help solve the issue.

    @Buratti:
    thanks for confirming that the issue was automagically resolved for you as well and for marking the thread solved.

    I think a new thread would serve you better - it is a different issue. I won't be much help on RDC, I'm just beginning to play around with it.

    So the solution to this thread doesn't get buried, I'll amplify it.

    There wasn't anything to update, change or repair on the user side.

    Verizon made a change to their network that affected
    their customers who use more than one Service provider.

    Not a problem Bill, sometimes I get a bit eccentric. ... I like how you finished up the thread.

    Buratti, I looked around and didn't see any threads on your RDP.

    You may have to roll back a recent windows update KB2984972 from 10-14-14 or wait till concurrent gets an update, second article down: Patches to keep an eye on: | Small Business Susan

    First comment when I looked elsewhere:
    pigpen:
    The latest updates for Windows 7 seem to have replaced termsrv.dll. Can someone update the patcher as well?
