Hi,
I wouldn't worry about multi quoting us we can figure out what your saying

Unless your willing to reactivate your account with webshots all I can suggest is to delete it and replace it,
If youtube videos are available for download the creator will include a download link in the More link under their name...
Cheers.

.....
Glad you found a suitable replacement video. Sometimes it's better to find a workaround to an issue (flash player works, yes?, the webpage you saved just couldn't find the video) than to beat your head against a wall.

YouTube provides HTML5 support (Flash not required) on many/most videos.

Just to be sure your computer can play Flash objects - try loading this Adobe webpage to test flash.

I wouldn't worry about the zip folder it useless,
But you have uploaded it at least twice so it's still in the posts you uploaded in,
Cheers.

Adobe Flash Player

Hi: I'm still having trouble with Adobe Flash Player!! I am about to Uninstall & reinstall again. After I do this how do I get it to show up/be available in my Default Programs. I think you have already told me how to get this program to be available in Default Programs so when I click "Open With" it will be there. But I cannot find the article in here. Can you help me again with this?

Please Please help me once again!!!

Thanks,

Ardath Morrison

You posted your zip file in #17 - here's a link to it
http://www.sevenforums.com/attachmen...ped-folder.zip

I read through the thread again and I'm not sure what problem you're trying to solve. There might be two issues

1) the Rainbow falls video wouldn't open - I think the workaround replacement video 'solved' that one

The other issue ... playing local Flash files / default programs

Flash player is perhaps a poor name for the technology. It is not a standalone player, it requires a host application such as a browser. There was, at one time, an Adobe stand alone flash, but that was a long time ago.

I think you might be looking for a stand alone player that you can associate the file type.

From Wiki page: Flash Video - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Desktop-based[edit]

Main article: Comparison of video player software

Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Unix-based
Adobe Media Player (freeware) (no longer published or supported by Adobe)
Media Player Classic (free software)
MPlayer (free software)
RealPlayer (freeware)
VLC media player (free software)
Winamp (freeware)
I personally use the 64 bit version of VideoLAN - VLC media player - you have to look past the big download boxes on that page to find the 64 bit version. The 32 bit version works well to, I'm just a geek

VLC plays anything I throw at it - you might need QuickTime (QT) installed to play QT movies - I forget.
QT is so big, I uninstalled it years ago and keep it off all my systems - another personal choice (if I can't watch a video because it's in .mov format ... I can live with that )

Please post what you did - was it a clean install of Flash per the instructions DavidE pointed to?
Or was there more to resolving the issue?

You mentioned Default Programs and associating Flash to the open with context menu. I'd be interested in what you did for that - I used to build HTML that would open the .swf or .flv file in an in-line player. That wasn't any fun though, so I found a standalone player.

Thanks,

Bill
