Adobe auto updates and flash player crashes

Hey guys i tend to have quite a few problems with adobe flash player crashing on firefox, meanign i cant watch videos unless i reset the browser a few times.

Should i have auto updates on or just the notify me when new updates are available option? Do both options open up web browsers or does automatic just install in the background with no warning (no installation is complete message, things like that)

Try to right click the video click Settings and in the display tab untick "Enable hardware acceleration" and see if that helps. Personally I choose to be notified of an update and before installing check online to see if there are any reported problems

Alot of people actually say to disable that option. Why is that? I also had an outdated version which i just updated so it seems to be working now. Theres also the fact that despite using 64bit os it seems to keep getting 32 bit at least in the control panel

As I understand it, hardware acceleration has to work well with Direct X, video drivers and Flash. If any of these software components change/update and problems ensue, it is best to try turn hardware acceleration off (if it is on) - or on (if it is off).

...or I could have it all wrong

Most modern browsers do not even need flash player,
Go to youtube and request the html5 video option,
