How Can I Select Text Inside a IE Hyperlink?

To select a portion of text inside a hyperlink, in Firefox, one simply holds down the Alt key. This does not work with IE. What is the IE solution?

Right click the link, go to Properties and copy what you need.

Mouse won't select text after typing
