Hi and thanks,
This is a weird one,
Go to Internet options/ Advanced second section and scroll to the bottom of the list,
See if SSL 3.0 is checked if so uncheck it and save the changes,
Boot your machine and recheck the issue,
I'll ask for some additional help here,
Cheers.

Thanks again!

SSL 3.0 was checked - I unchecked it, rebooted, but same thing.

Okay well ssl 3.0 is a reported risk to have on so leave it unchecked,
Microsoft releases anti-POODLE Fix It

If your interested in trying I would recommend to roll back to ie10,
If you updated from fresh install directly to ie11 and skipped all of the prior versions please uninstall ie11,
Check for updates manually and right click the ie11 update and click on Hide,

After that check for updates again,
ie10 and 9 should be listed,
Please install ie9 and all security updates that apply to it and test the issue,
Fully reset ie9 and delete any personal settings/ accept the default settings when first opening ie9,

After that if everything checks out or fails let me know,
If all is good,
Install ie10 and repeat the above full reset might not be necessary unless the issue remains in ie9,
Cheers.

Yeah - I am not too keen on doing all that, and going back to v9 and/or 10. I was kinda hoping that the data can just be deleted. Where is that data stored, anyway? Dont tell me - encrypted in the reg

Thanks again.

Hi,
I don't know for sure where the info is :/
Rolling back and re-installing is as easy as it gets ?
It's about the only way I know of to test if it's just 11 or not
Cheers.

I just got some new SATA data cables. They have the lock on them which my old ones didn't. I put them on and I could still grab the sides of the cable and pull them off the drive. Should they lock and not come off unless I loosen the lock? Thanks, Coboc Model SC-SATA3-10-LL-BL-90 - Newegg.com
