    Downloads Not Working

Lost the capability to download anything. I have W7 and IE11. When I try to download I get nothing - not an error message or anything. Have tried clearing cookies, etc., rebooting, etc. Really don't know what to do and am not that computer savvy.

When did this first begin? If very recent, you could try system restore and see if it resolves the problem.

can't download another browser so have not tried that. didn't have one downloaded before. removed firefox before this all happened. won't do that again if I ever get this repaired. will keep "extra" browsers, including chrome.

did not see the save/run line at the bottom. it never appears, so I don't get the option.

    Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
If you haven't already try first to uninstall Java,
Then if still no joy use system restore to an earlier time before you download Java
    Cheers.

Also try to reset IE Security permissions by going to Tools > Internet Options > Security
In the Security tab, click on: Reset all areas to the default level
