Weird issue with wrong fonts displaying on a certain website

I'm having a weird issue with how a certain website is displaying in my browser. The font is all messed up, and I have no idea if it's an issue with my browser (Firefox), or my OS (Windows 7 32bit).

The site is buzzfeed. It displays fine in my other browsers, but in Firefox, one of the fonts is constantly displaying incorrectly - it looks like the wrong font is being used (it's using rockfont for some reason - which is on my system as a requirement for a pinball game I play).

Here's how it looks usually in Firefox:

And here's how it looked after I uninstalled the rockfont font:

And then just a few minutes later, it looked like this (while rockfont was still uninstalled):

Any idea what's going on with my fonts, and why it only happens on this one site, and only in Firefox? I'm using the latest version of Firefox, but this has been happening for months. After I re-installed rockfont, the page then went back to using that as a font, as in the top image.

I just went into safe mode and it appears the site now displays correctly. So then it's an add-on causing this issue?

EDIT: Hold on - I just restarted Firefox normally with add-ons enabled and now the site is displaying correctly. I don't know what this means.

EDIT: And..it's back to rockfont again after going back to the site again. ?

Try again without safe mode and if they go back to a different font, I would say there is a very good chance its due to add-ons.

What add-ons do you have installed? Introduce them back one at a time and test the website.

It went right back to the rockfont font again when I ran it without safe mode. I have quite a bunch of addons but I use them all regularly. I'll list them out later here - I'm just on my way out right now.

I'll try disabling them one at a time and see what happens.

Okay, it's not an add-on. I ran firefox in safe mode, and after about 2 minutes, buzzfeed switched to rockfont when I refreshed the page.

I noticed this evening it always does this. After each add-on I disabled, the site looked fine for the first couple minutes, even when refreshing the page, but after a couple minutes, the page switched to using rockfont.

So what could be causing this in safe mode?

What happens if you go into Safe Mode with Networking and visit that site?
Safe Mode

Try resetting Firefox completely.
Backup your Profile (if you use Email to login to FF you can possibly just re-sync your settings)
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb...refox-profiles

Reset Firefox
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb...-most-problems

I would also run some Antivirus/Malware scans

Run your Antivirus
Run Malwarebytes :: Update > Click Scan > Custom Scan > Check box to scan for Rootkits > Check box to scan C:
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free
Run Adwcleaner :: AdwCleaner Download

Test the site again and attach the logs to your next post

When I mentioned safe mode I meant Firefox's safe mode, not Windows. I won't get a chance to try Windows safe mode with networking tonight, but I'll give it a try tomorrow and see what happens.

Yeah I know you meant Firefox, no worries. Post back the results when you get a chance.
